Motocross Graphics FAQ

Ordering custom motocross graphics

What information do I need to order a graphics kit?

Provide the motorcycle manufacturer, exact model and model year, plus the rider name, race number and preferred colours. Add any logos or reference images you are authorised to use. If the bike has aftermarket plastics, mixed-year parts or a non-standard conversion, explain this and include clear photos before design work begins.

Can I add my name and race number?

Yes. Custom rider names and race numbers are core parts of the design. Enter them exactly as they should appear, including capital letters, spacing and any leading zero. Check both items carefully on the design proof. Approval confirms that the spelling and number shown are correct.

Can the colours be changed?

Colour changes can be requested as part of the custom brief. Describe the main colour, secondary colour and any areas that should remain neutral. Screens display colours differently, so a digital proof is a layout and design reference rather than a guarantee that every monitor will show the printed colour identically.

Where can I find graphics for my bike?

Browse the dedicated collections for Honda graphics, Yamaha motocross kits, KTM decals, Husqvarna graphics, Kawasaki graphics and Suzuki graphics. A listed motorcycle image is a design example. Your model and year determine the template used for the order.

Fitment and templates

Why are the exact model and year important?

Motorcycle plastics can change between generations, and similar model names do not always share the same panel shapes. The year also helps distinguish motocross, enduro and special-edition configurations. Accurate information reduces fitment questions and helps the design team select the intended template.

What if I have aftermarket plastics?

Mention the plastic manufacturer and product name, then send clear photos of both sides of the bike. Aftermarket shapes may differ from the original equipment fitted in the same year. Do not approve a proof based only on the motorcycle year if the installed plastics come from another kit or generation.

Can a displayed design be adapted to another model?

Many designs can be used as visual direction for a compatible motorcycle, but panel proportions and available space change from one template to another. Elements may need to move or be resized. Confirm your model and year before assuming that a layout will look identical on different plastics.

What if I cannot find my exact motorcycle?

Send a message through the contact page with the make, model, year and photos of the plastics. MXkits can then confirm whether a suitable template or another solution is available. Contacting us first is especially useful for older bikes, unusual conversions and less common aftermarket plastics.

Design proof and approval

Will I see the design before it is produced?

Yes. A design proof is provided for review before production. Use it to check the name, race number, colours, logos, spelling and overall placement. Reply with one clear list of requested corrections. Production begins only after the proof is approved.

What should I check on the proof?

Compare every personalised detail with the original order. Check letters that can be confused, number order, sponsor logos and the stated motorcycle. Also review whether important elements appear in sensible positions across the panels. Approval should be given only when the visible content is correct.

Can I request changes to the proof?

Yes, changes can be requested before approval. Combine the feedback into one precise message and identify the panel or element concerned. Vague instructions can create unnecessary delays. Major changes that replace the original brief may require additional design time, particularly when new artwork or fitment information is introduced.

How long does the design process take?

A clear brief helps the first proof move faster. Provide the exact motorcycle model, year, personalisation details and usable artwork when ordering. Missing information, complex changes or delayed replies can extend the timeline. Once the proof is approved, the standard production period is 3 to 5 business days.

Material, production and installation

What material is used for motocross graphics?

MXkits motocross graphics use a 21 mil layered material intended for demanding motorcycle applications. The construction combines the printed graphic, protective surface and adhesive system into a substantial decal. It is different from a general-purpose thin sticker and is prepared for shaped motocross plastic panels.

How long does production take after approval?

After payment, receipt of all required motorcycle and personalisation details, and design approval where required, production normally takes 3 to 5 business days. Delivery after dispatch may take up to 14 calendar days. Changes requested after approval can interrupt production and may not be possible once manufacturing has started.

How should I prepare the plastics?

Remove old graphics and adhesive residue, then clean the plastics thoroughly. The surface should be dry and free from grease, wax, silicone, fuel residue and cleaning products that leave a film. Deep scratches, oxidation and contamination can affect adhesion. Fresh, correctly fitted plastics usually provide the most reliable application surface.

Can I install the kit myself?

Many riders install their own graphics, but patience and preparation matter. Identify every panel first, test alignment before pressing the adhesive down and work gradually. Avoid stretching the graphics unnecessarily. If you are not confident working around curves and edges, consider using an experienced graphics installer.

Shipping and other custom work

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, worldwide shipping is available. Standard shipping to the United States costs EUR 27 per order. Shipping costs for other supported destinations are shown at checkout. Delivery after dispatch may take up to 14 calendar days and is separate from the standard 3 to 5 business day production period.

Can you promise a delivery date?

No universal transit promise can cover every destination, customs process or carrier service. If an order is intended for a race, gift or event, allow additional time for design feedback, production and transport. Ordering early is safer than relying on a minimum possible timeline.

Do you make graphics other than motocross kits?

Yes. MXkits can assess ATV graphics, BMX number plates, MX plate graphics, stickers and other one-off projects. Visit Other Custom Graphics or the Stickers page for the information needed. Custom requests should include dimensions, quantity, surface type, artwork and intended use.

Can I submit any logo or image?

Submit only logos, photographs and artwork that you created or have permission to reproduce. A clean vector file is best for logos that must remain sharp. Low-resolution screenshots can limit quality and may need replacement before the proof can be prepared.

How do I get help before ordering?

Use the MXkits contact page and send all relevant information in one message. For a motorcycle kit, include the make, model, year, name, number and plastic photos when needed. For other graphics, include dimensions, quantity, surface, artwork and delivery country. A complete brief makes it easier to give a useful answer.
